Bier Kartenby Mefisto

Privacidad

Qué no registramos

Bier Karten is the digital beer menu that Mefisto offers to the bars it supplies. This page explains what is recorded when you use it.

What we record

  • Each time you open a bar’s menu: the bar, the date and time, the language, the country you are connecting from (Cloudflare works it out from the connection; we do not store your IP address), whether you came in through the QR code or a link, and how long the menu was on screen. All of this is tied together by a random code generated by your browser, which is deleted when you close the tab.
  • Which beers you opened to see their details and which beer families you tapped: the bar, the beer or the family and the date and time.
  • When you tap «I want it»: the bar, the beer, the date and a random code generated by your browser. It is used to count a single request per beer per day; our database only keeps an encoded version of that code, which cannot be turned back into it.

On «Where to find Bier Karten»

If you tap «Near me», your phone uses your location only to sort the bars by distance: it is not sent or stored. If you tell us you went to a bar and they didn’t have it, we store the bar, what happened, your comment if you wrote one and the date.

We also count, with a random code per visit and no data that identifies you: where you came from (an Instagram link, the home page or elsewhere), the country of the connection, the language, whether you used «Near me» (yes or no, without your location), which bars you tapped «Directions» or Instagram for, and what you searched for without results (only that text, up to 40 characters).

What we do not record

Your name, email, phone number, precise location or any other data that identifies you. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking tools.

What stays on your phone

Your browser keeps the language, day or night mode, the random code for «I want it», the beers you already requested today and, until you close the tab, the random code for the visit. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

What it is used for

So that each bar knows which beers its customers are looking for and so that Mefisto can improve its range. The data is stored with Supabase in São Paulo, Brazil. As with any website, the services that publish the menu (Cloudflare and Supabase) process technical connection data, such as the IP address, to work and to protect themselves from attacks.
